Stephen Asks Mailers to “Lien In” and Learn about Innovations in Mail

Posted by in eBulletin, News & Information

Vicki Stephen, Director, Mailing Services, New Products and Innovation for the U.S. Postal Service, joins BCC Software’s monthly webcast June 28.

This month BCC Software is pleased to announce the June installment of the “Lien In” webcast series will feature Innovations in Mail, presented in part by Vicki Stephen, Director, Mailing Services, New Products and Innovation for United States Postal Service®. In her role with the USPS®, Stephen is responsible for developing new products and integrating technologies to increase the effectiveness of Direct Mail as a marketing channel.

Stephen will join company president, Chris Lien and Ed Wong, Product Marketing Director, Commercial and Industrial Printing at Ricoh, USA, Inc. for an educational webcast on June 28th, 2017 beginning at 11 a.m. EST.

This presentation is free and open to both BCC Software customers and non-customers. Register today here.

A study by the Boston Consulting Group says that by 2020, total advertising spending on mail will increase to 12 percent. Paired with the fact that advertising mail has a 16 percent median ROI for businesses – better than email, social media, and even telemarketing  – means the print and mail industry must continue to look for ways to satisfy eager marketers.

“Direct mail overwhelmingly has the highest response rate and overall ROI among marketing tactics thanks, in part, to innovative printers, mailers, and new technology,” said Lien. “Now is the time to be on the cutting edge and test trends in variable printing, color, tactile substrates, emerging technologies and more. Both Vicki and Ed can help mailers and printers learn about the valuable USPS commercial mailing promotions, which will allow more and more businesses to take advantage of savings while experimenting in trends.”

About the Panelists

Vicki Stephen: Stephen works actively with marketers, mailers, and printers to drive overall value of mail and leads efforts to incorporate technology with mail, encouraging mailers to link physical mail and digital experiences, and leading development of tools such as “Irresistible Mail.” Her team manages a variety of new business pilots and prototyping efforts. Stephen worked as a Brand Director, managed Engineering & IT functions, served as a Plant Manager, and field engineering roles.

Ed Wong: Wong has spent 25-plus years in the industry, including 17 with Ricoh USA, and is an expert in product marketing for production print, including go-to-market strategies, product launches and taking action based on the voice of the customer.

BCC Software’s Integratec API Platform Adds Address Standardization

Posted by in News & Information

Second release of award-winning API platform includes CASS Certified™ technology

Rochester, NY – November 29, 2016: Today BCC Software™, a leader in postal preparation and address quality solutions, announced it is releasing the second module for the Integratec™ API Platform, the Address Standardization Toolkit. With this toolkit, users will be able to standardize and correct address lists, leveraging USPS Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS™) certification within a fully integrated workflow.

Using USPS CASS certified technology allows mailers a wide range of benefits including eligibility for postage discounts, improved deliverability, reduced waste, faster mail transit, and better address data.Integratec_LogoCentered_TM

“CASS certification is a widely recognized and respected USPS standard for address quality,” said Chris Lien, president of BCC Software. “A USPS CASS certified solution forms the lynch pin of any data quality strategy, merge and purge process, or the claiming of critical USPS postage discounts.”

Launched in June, Integratec is built for modern IT environments. The modularity of the API Toolkit helps mail preparers by allowing them to expand from single machines to multiple machines – allowing additional hardware to be leveraged. Likewise, the scalability allows companies to process more jobs simultaneously. The Integratec API Platform is the only available USPS PAVE™ certified API using the secure messaging layer, ZeroMQ™ with the CurveZMQ protocol, enabling Integratec to pass even the most stringent security requirements industries like healthcare and finance. Now, with the Address Standardization toolkit, which includes BCC Software’s CASS certified ZIPFOURce™ technology, Integratec users can optimize contact data management.

Along with application for traditional printers and mailers, Integratec’s Address Standardization Toolkit is an opportunity for any company interested in better utilizing address data. There are numerous opportunities up and downstream for applying improved contact information. For example, a financial or insurance business could integrate and automate CASS Certified address quality processing in a data collection workflow and then send corrected data back upstream to databases, creating a real-time, up-to-date data collection.

To learn more about the Integratec API Platform and the Address Standardization toolkit, please visit www.bccsoftware.com/integratec.
