We're honored to welcome Earl L. Johnson Jr. to the Information Exchange stage in Nashville. Earl is a USPS executive with deep roots in the addressing, geospatial, and mailing technology side of the Postal Service — the disciplines that quietly power everything our industry does, from list hygiene to drop-ship precision to campaign performance.
Over the past several years, Earl has led some of the most consequential teams in USPS's addressing and technology organization, including roles directing Addressing and Geospatial Technology and, most recently, Address and Retail Technology Services. In these roles, he has overseen the products and services that mailers rely on every day — the Address Management Database, CASS, geospatial tools, and the data infrastructure that helps the Postal Service and its commercial partners drive efficiency at scale. He is a graduate of Alcorn State University and has completed the USPS Managerial Leadership Program, the Advanced Leadership Program, Lean Six Sigma, and PMP training.
In his keynote, Earl will share a USPS perspective on where the mailing industry is heading — what's changing in addressing and address quality, how geospatial and data technologies are reshaping operations, and how mailers can position themselves to take advantage of what's next. Paired with the product vision and roadmap session that follows, Earl's address sets the stage for the most important conversation of the conference: how we, together, build the next chapter of effective, efficient, ROI-driven mail.
The 2026 Surge: Postal-Aware LTL™ Strategy for Election Mail, Marketing Spikes, and Beyond
2026 is a mid-term election year — and everyone in the room knows what that means for capacity, scheduling, and SCF/DDU drop-ship windows. This session takes a candid look at the year ahead: where the volume pressure points are, how to lock in capacity early, how to avoid the carrier confusion and missed-window scenarios that derail campaigns, and what Direct Logistics is doing to expand into Freight-of-All-Kinds (FAK) and ground/parcel to support the industry’s evolving needs. We’ll cover the SCF vs. DDU decision framework, when expedited or full truckload makes more financial sense than LTL, and how to use real-time tracking data to defend campaign timelines with clients. The session closes with a table-talk segment where attendees compare their own 2026 capacity plans, drop-ship pain points, and election-mail readiness — exactly the kind of cross-industry exchange Information Exchange is built for.

The fastest path to ROI in print and customer communications isn't a new press — it's better control of what happens between composition and delivery. In this session, Solimar Systems shares a practical, results-first look at how organizations are using post-composition, PDF optimization, and end-to-end job tracking to recover capacity, eliminate rework, and tighten campaign performance. Expect concrete benchmarks (think 100% ROI case studies and 24-hour-to-1-hour turnaround improvements), a candid look at where automation succeeds and stalls, and a guided table-talk segment where attendees compare notes on their own workflow bottlenecks, tracking gaps, and AI readiness. Built for cross-industry exchange — bring your toughest workflow challenge.
The night brings together everything the conference is built on — connection, conversation, and a little friendly competition. Enjoy a dinner and full-service bar as the city lights shimmer across the water, then try your luck at the tables during a custom casino night staged just for Information Exchange attendees. Blackjack, roulette, craps, poker — all the action of a Nashville casino floor, none of the risk, and plenty of prizes in play. Whether you're chasing a winning hand, swapping insights with a tablemate over dinner, or just soaking in the skyline from the open-air deck, this is the kind of evening that turns colleagues into long-term connections. Comfortable cocktail attire recommended. Doors close at the dock — don't miss the boat.

Session:
Description:
This session explores proactive strategies to reduce Undeliverable As Addressed (UAA) mail—a costly and persistent issue for mailers. Starting with using USPS® CASS-certified software to ensure address accuracy, then enhancing delivery success with solutions like NCOA and PCOA, and finally, maximizing effectiveness through advanced services to correct even the most problematic addresses.

Direct Logistics has spent 25 years solving one problem better than anyone: drop-shipping mail-as-freight to USPS SCF and DDU entry facilities nationwide — backed by a 98.6% on-time performance record. This product-centric session is a guided tour of how that expertise shows up in the Direct Logistics Portal (DLP), our online platform for estimating, tendering, tracking, and confirming mail-as-freight shipments. We’ll walk through live job estimating and rate transparency, one-click tendering, Mail.dat file uploads for high-volume shippers, real-time carrier pro# tracking from origin dock to destination entry, and proof-of-delivery confirmation. We’ll also cover how DLP fits into broader enterprise workflows via REST-API and its existing direct integrations with BCC Mail Manager® and Dat-Mail® — free to use, with clients only paying for shipments tendered through the platform. Whether you’re a mail owner, printer-mailer, commingler, or consolidator handling letters or flats, you’ll leave with a clear picture of how Postal-Aware LTL™ takes the guesswork out of USPS destination entry.

Description:
Manual data prep is where margin quietly disappears. In this session, BCC Software walks through how API-driven automation transforms mail and data operations end-to-end — saving money, scaling capacity, and freeing your team to focus on customers, campaigns, and growth instead of repetitive tasks. We’ll tour the BCC Architect API suite: BCC Architect REACH™ for cloud-based postal preparation with real-time validation and USPS-certified accuracy; BCC Architect™ for enterprise-grade contact data quality, intelligent cleansing, multi-source integration, and advanced deduplication; You’ll see the four-step automation workflow in action — Integrate, Validate & Standardize (CASS™ + NCOALink®), Enhance Quality (email/phone enrichment and suppressions), and Export clean, tracked Mail.dat® files ready for production. Real examples show how mailers of every size are using BCC APIs to cut labor costs, eliminate manual touches, and unlock true scalability — automation built for any business, plugged directly into the systems you already run.
“By law, we can’t change our customers’ addresses.” Heard that one before? Clients in banking, healthcare, telecom, and insurance often insist regulations forbid address updates — citing everything from HIPAA to FCC “address of record” rules to banking compliance requirements. Meanwhile, USPS automation discounts require accurate, deliverable addresses, not just clean barcodes. The result? Mailers caught in the middle, accused of hiding behind USPS rules, and losing business to competitors who look the other way.
So what’s actually true? Join BCC Software for an open, candid discussion that untangles the regulations from the folklore. Bring your toughest client objections, share what you’re hearing in the field, and hear how other mailers are navigating the same pushback. You’ll leave with practical talking points for your next conversation, a clearer view of real versus imagined compliance limits, and a framework for quantifying the true cost of stale addresses to your clients.
Small and mid-sized mailers shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and full USPS compliance. In this deep dive, see how Bulk Mailer® SMB delivers industry-leading presort power built for simplicity, speed, and ROI. We’ll cover CASS™ and PAVE™ certified address standardization, DPV®, LACSLink®, and SuiteLink® processing, real-time NCOALink® Move Update with 5 million records included, and automatic generation of Qualification reports, USPS Form 3553, postage statements, and barcoded sack and tray labels. You’ll see intelligent list import from Excel, Access, XML, and more, spreadsheet-style List Views, Groups for targeted subsets, and the Suppression Suite for do-not-mail, deceased, and correctional records. We’ll cover the full EDDM® workflow, Intelligent Mail® barcoding, basic palletization, firm bundles, and integrated data services—all backed by the only 100% USPS Mailpiece Design certified support team in the industry.

Session:
Description:
Postage is the single largest cost in most direct mail programs — and undeliverable-as-addressed (UAA) mail is the biggest source of waste in that line item. This session shows how BCC Software’s data marketing services attack both at once: CASS™ certification, DSF2® processing, NCOA for catching movers, suppression services for deceased and bad records, Rooftop Geocoding for precise targeting, and YourScore™ for ongoing quality monitoring. Stop paying postage on pieces that will never be read — and qualify for deeper postal discounts in the process. Leave with a practical audit checklist and benchmarks for marketing leads, ops managers, and postage P&L owners.
“NEXT is NOW.” Cloud-native automation, AI in production workflows, shifting USPS regulations, and the convergence of physical mail with digital channels aren’t on the horizon — they’re shaping decisions today. In this open-forum session, BCC Software experts sit down with a USPS executive to unpack the trends driving the next chapter of mailing: where cloud and AI are already delivering ROI, what’s changing on the regulatory front, and how the smartest mailers are turning digital-physical convergence into one measurable strategy. Closes with live audience Q&A — bring your sharpest questions for our USPS guest.
Most BCC Software customers use a fraction of the support resources actually available — then wait on tickets for answers already documented. This session is a guided tour of the BCC Software customer portal: how to file tickets effectively for faster first-response, the knowledge base and search shortcuts, on-demand video training, release notes and version documentation, the FTP site and software downloads, and when to engage Professional Services for work beyond standard support. We’ll also cover power-user tips and escalation paths. Leave with a working knowledge of every portal feature and a quick-reference cheat sheet for routing requests.
