The Strategic Revenue Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing BCC Software’s renewals processes within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategic renewals practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with finance, sales, and customer support teams, the Strategic Revenue Manager will ensure seamless renewals operations while identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

Responsibilities

  1. Renewals Strategic Planning and Development 
    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve renewals accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
    • Analyze current renewals processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Develop and implement renewals strategies that align with company goals and customer needs.

 

  1. Process Optimization
    • Establish and enforce best practices for renewals operations, including invoicing.
    • Lead efforts to streamline renewals workflows and integrate new technologies or systems.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness and implement necessary adjustments.

 

  1. Team Leadership and Development
    • Manage and mentor a team of renewals specialists, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
    • Conduct training sessions to keep the team updated on procedures, systems and compliance requirements.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

 

  1. Customer Relations
    • Serve as a point of contact for complex renewals-related issues and disputes, resolving them promptly and effectively.
    • Work with customer support and sales teams to address renewals-related concerns and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Implement strategies to enhance client renewals experience and manage high-value accounts.

 

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Generate and present regular reports on renewals performance and revenue trends to senior management.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify renewals discrepancies, revenue leakage, and process improvement opportunities.
    • Ensure accurate and timely integration of renewals data into the financial system.

 

 

  1. Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to renewals practices.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with renewals processes, such as fraud, errors, and compliance issues.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain best practices in renewals.

 

  1. System and Technology Management
    • Manage the implementation and maintenance of renewals system and software.
    • Collaborate with IT and system vendors to ensure the renewals system meets organizational needs and addresses technical issues.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance renewals processes and efficiencies.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in renewals, finance, or accounting roles, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or strategic position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in renewals software and financial systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of renewals processes, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position oversees the renewals team.

 

Work Location

This position is based at our Rochester, NY office and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours including evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Compensation: $100,000 on target earnings
