Enterprise Payment System Now Available from the USPS
Home / Enterprise Payment System Now Available from the USPS
The USPS® recently announced the new Enterprise Payment System (EPS), which is replacing the current product-centric payment with a centralized account processing system enabling customers to pay and manage their service online using a single account, according to the PostalPro™ website.
What does this mean to me?
Mailers will be able to do everything online: open permits, link accounts, transfer funds and manage their postage spend. Additionally, they will have more convenient payment options and funds can be deposited into any retail location, not just the one where their business resides. EPS makes managing business finances that much easier!
Mail Service Providers (MSPs) will be able to deposit funds into mailer’s accounts as long as they have their customer’s ESP 10-digit account number.
Why is this significant to the mailing industry?
EPS is the future of postage payment. It will be much more convenient and easy to use than today’s postage payment methods. Although the Postal Service will provide at least 12 months advance notice, CAPS will be retired at some point in the future. The time to get started is now.
