IDEAlliance Announces Newly Elected Offers, Including BCC Software President Chris Lien
On January 27, IDEAlliance – a global community of more than 1500 brand owners, agencies, publishers, premedia and print service providers, and their material suppliers and technology partners, elected BCC Software President Chris Lien as their new Secretary. In this role, Chris will be responsible for keeping the other board members informed of happenings within IDEAlliance and keeping the board meeting notes.
Chris is no stranger to IDEAlliance, having been involved for over twenty years, dating back to when IDEAlliance was known as the Graphic Communications Association. He served as one of their representatives to the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) for six years and transitioned from that position to the industry elected vice-chair of MTAC. He transitioned to the current industry chair of MTAC, where he currently serves, in 2014.
Chris shared, “I am honored to have been elected by the IDEAlliance Board of Directors to serve as their Secretary, and to continue to serve such a distinguished association. IDEAlliance continues to provide innovative leadership in information technology and publishing. Their mailing industry standards like Mail.DAT and Mail.XML have been critical in leveraging the power of technology to enhance print messaging and serve the evolving needs of our membership. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the board to continue in the pursuit of that objective.”
