Our History
BCC Software, originally Business Computer Center, Inc., was founded in 1978 by Jon Runstrom. Pioneers in the industry, the first major project that the company took on was the development of a mailing list program for a Chicago area trade association. Ever since, BCC Software has entirely devoted its talent, energies, and manpower to the creation of game-changing mailing software and data quality services.
In 2005, BCC Software was acquired by Bell and Howell, which oversaw the business until it was spun off into an independent company in 2014. In 2017, BCC Software was acquired by Thompson Street Capital Partners. In January 2019, BCC Software acquired Satori Software® from Quadient®, a division of Neopost. This included all former Satori Software products, such as Bulk Mailer®, Architect, Ignite, and Monticello, which was rebranded to BCC Post-Presort after the acquisition.
Our current Executive Vice President of Industry Affairs, Chris Lien, joined the company in 2009, and has been guiding the team under his expertise in the postal industry. Today, BCC Software is still the leader in postal software industry, and just as dedicated to the success of our customers as ever.
Community Brings People Together
From employee-run programs to holiday-centric charity events, the whole BCC Software team is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. Employees who contribute to our charitable efforts are given the opportunity to choose which charity donations go to every quarter, which allows the company to provide support to various causes that we believe in.
Industry Leadership
At BCC Software, we believe it is critical to play a part in shaping the future of the industry that impacts our customers and partners. We do this by participating and sponsoring many of the national and local industry leadership associations, as well as working directly with the USPS and our customers. Below are the list of groups that we are aligned with.

Forward-thinking. Customer-oriented. Data-driven.
At BCC Software, we’re more than just a software company. We’re a tight-knit team of industry professionals who are dedicated to ensuring that our customers thrive with our partnership. Committed to the industry, our leadership team is entrenched in all things postal. We work diligently to ensure that all our software products and data solutions are always ahead of the curve and compliant with the latest USPS® regulations.
Our Customer Support team is entirely based in BCC Software’s headquarters, and representatives are available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 7:00pm. Which means, when you call, you are connected to a person on the other end, not a computer. Beyond just helping customers solve issues that may arise, our Customer Support team thoroughly understands the solutions and services we offer, and will work with you to plan your roadmap for success with BCC Software.
